How often should the mask be used?

To start, we recommend using your LED Face mask 5-7 days a week for optimal results. One treatment lasts 10 minutes and your mask turns off automatically after that.

If desired, you may complete up to two treatments per day (either using different light modes or doing two of the same).

Should I avoid the sun after treatment?

Color light therapy does not increase your sensitivity to sunlight. However, if you are going into the sun, it is important to always apply sunscreen.

Are there any adverse effects?

LED devices are classified by the FDA as possessing “non-significant risk”. The LEDs emit no UV light, so there is no risk of sunburn or skin cancer. If you have light sensitivity or are taking medications that can cause light sensitivity, it is not recommended to use this mask. Please see questions below about precautions and contraindications.

Should anyone avoid using LED therapy?

We recommend speaking to your doctor first if you are pregnant, undergoing chemotherapy, have epilepsy or photoallergy or are taking any of the following medications; steroids injections, cortisone injections, medications causing light sensitivity (such as Tetracycline).
